I appreciate the investment of time and research Deb takes to come to the dais so well informed on the issues. I also appreciate Deb’s willingness to stand firm on her convictions, despite being the lone vote, at times. As a resident of Rowlett since 1987, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Deb Shinder since 2021. She has been an incredible advocate for the Spinnaker Pointe Lakeside Community and a sound voice of reason. Deb played a crucial role in influencing the approach to a new walking trail project in a pragmatic way, advocating and ensuring relevant voices were heard. She’s also been there for us in everyday matters, like helping to fix a water leak that couldn't get resolved, and organizing amazing participation from city departments for community events, helping us find the right folks to talk to about general questions and more importantly, SOLUTIONS! Deb is always quick to respond to us and has proven to be a dedicated and effective city official.
