Polling Place Rules for Early Voting and Election Day

Some of the most frequent violations of the Election Law pertaining to the polling place include:
Firearms - even if you have an LTC, you can't carry your gun into the polling place (exception for law enforcement officers). If you have it with you, leave it in the trunk or a secure vehicle safe.
Electioneering - Advocating for a particular candidate, verbally or through written material, is prohibited within the 100 ft distance markers.
Clothing - Courts have ruled that you can't wear clothing expressing sentiments for or against a candidate (or party or measure) that's on the ballot. Leave the hats in the car and cover up your tee shirts with a jacket or plain shirt when you go within the distance markers.
Electronic devices - You can't use your cell phone, tablet, smart watch, smart glasses, cameras, sound recorders, or other devices within the 100 ft distance markers.
Written materials - You CAN bring written notes or materials with you to assist you in remembering your voting preferences, but you cannot share it with anyone else or use it to advocate for your candidate or measure.
Disabled voters - If you need physical assistance, you can bring someone with you to help you vote.
